Marjoria Maurine Magouirk Irwin of Austin, Texas, passed away June 13, 2015 when she lost her battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's. Born August 2, 1927, in Keechi, Texas, Marjoria (Pronounced MAR-JOR-E-A) also known as Marge, or Margie, had a kind spirit and was the brightest star in the room. She was a selfless person that always put everyone else's needs before hers, as she would simply state: "I just want everyone to be happy". Marjoria was mostly raised by her Grandparents Albert and Selma Gore, while her Mother Illma Gore (The oldest of all of nine brothers and sisters) worked away from home. Marjoria grew up in Buffalo, Texas on the family farm with her Aunts and Uncles. She married James William (Bill) Irwin on December 29, 1950 in Houston Texas. She gave birth to Ronald Wayne Irwin on December 1, 1951 and Thomas Alan Irwin on February 16, 1957. Marjoria was a devoted wife and a loving Mother, and loved to be at home spending time with her family and dog "Texboy or Tiger".
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Thomas Alan and Linda Marie Irwin, her Grandson and Spouse Christopher Alan Irwin and Laura Marie Irwin, Granddaughter Shavonne Michelle Irwin, Step Grandchildren Alyssa Anne Flores, Henry Guillermo and Joy Elizabeth Flores, Great Grandchildren Caden Alexander, Tiara Marie, Nathan Gilbert, and Gabriel Anthony, Step Great Granddaughter Amanda Marie and Violet Estelle, and finally by her beloved dog Texboy.
A Rosary will be held in her honor at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday June 30, 2015 at Austin-Peel and Sons Funeral home in Austin, Texas. The funeral will at St. Elisabeth's Catholic Church in Pflugerville, Texas. The day and time shall be determined in the near future. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
