Margie Eloise Welch Oetken
Margie Eloise Welch Oetken was born on September 5, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas to Mary Alice and Willie Welch. Margien married Melbourne Hugh "Sonny" Oetken on September 30, 1950.
Margie is survived by her loving daughter Janice Quinonez of Washington State and her son and daughter-in-law Garlon and Tammy Oetken of Round Rock, Texas. Margie was blessed with four loving grandchildren. Karen and Doug Meyers of Washington D.C. Kenneth and Amy Quinonez of Cedar Creek, Texas, Shelly and Eligio Blanco of Hutto, Texas, Lauren and Colby Clawson of New Braunfels, Texas. Margie had nine great grandchildren; Marcos, Fernando, Ethan, Caleb, Emma, Aiden, Callen, Elias and Illyana.
Margie is also survived by her friend and sister, Wanda and Shelby Moravits, brothers; Edward Welch, David Lee and Carolyn Welch, Charles and Mary Beth Welch, sisters; Betty Jean Jayport, Eloise and Roy Foust and Sara and Willie Mazure.
Margie is preceded in death by her husband Melbourne Hugh "Sonny" Oetken, parents; Mary Alice Peets and Willie Welch, her sister; Imogene Welch, brothers; John A. Welch and Willie Welch as well as her great grandson Callen Hugh Clawson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Callen Hugh's Foundation. Callen was Margie's great grandson. Callen's Castle " play for all abilities park is being built in New Braunfels. To donate go to callenhughsfoundation.com
