Our mother, Frances Loraine Cervin Brown, finished her tasks on this earth and has moved on to dance on a higher plain. Frances passed Tuesday, July 6, 2010, surrounded by family. She was born in Dallas, Texas, August 17, 1917 to Rev. August and Rev. Jennie Cervin. She was a lifelong resident of Central Texas. Frances was the last of nine siblings. She was preceded by husband, Wilson Sturgeon Brown; children, Joyce, Charles "Bubba", and John; and two granddaughters, Amanda and Lesa. Frances was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, friend, minister, and caregiver. We will all miss her wonderful smile and the sparkle in her eyes as well as her wonderful talent at the piano and organ. She leaves to cherish her life, children, Mary Searcy; Jeanette Matteck and husband, Albert; Carol Hartsfield; Leonard Brown; and Jeffrey Brown and wife, Darlene; and best friend, Barbara Allen. She leaves 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. There are nieces and nephews too numerous to count and many, many wonderful friends. Our appreciation to South Austin Care and Rehab Center and all the staff who loved and cared for her during the last six years. Also, her adopted family who are residents of the facility who shared their love with her. We want to express our deepest appreciation to Angel Heart Hospice for all their loving care and spiritual support given to our mother, Frances, and our family in our time of need. A memorial service to honor and celebrate our mother's life will be held Saturday, July 17th at 2:00p.m., at the South Austin Care and Rehab Center, 110 East Live Oak, Austin, Texas. Please join us. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Austin-Peel and Son. For online condolences you may logon to www.austinpeel.com.
